Hi, I’m Phoebe, the founder of VENN.
I find myself lucky to have grown up in a household that was full of nourishing food, and where the dinner table was the meeting point for my family. It formed a connection between food and togetherness that means so much to me now and what I want to share with other people.
Having worked in Communications for over a decade, the thing I’ve grown to love the most about the job is being able to make friends for a living. And what meeting point is better than over the dinner table? Dinner parties are a staple in my house, with lavish Friday night feasts with friends being a regular occurrence wherever I have lived. I want to create memories, by putting together custom menus and a dining environment that make my guests feel that they can be themselves, relax and settle somewhere that’s not perfect.
I find proper nutrition fascinating, so I have chosen to study the Science of Food in my personal time. Planning a menu for me is like putting a puzzle together where I focus on cooking nutritionally balanced food, sourcing local, seasonal, high quality produce. I want to cook dishes that are fun but still good for you.
Forget the small plates because it’s meant to be about connecting over good food, no matter how messy it gets.
