Hi, I'm Phoebe, the founder of VENN.
For me, food is more than just ingredients on a plate, it is a point of connection, togetherness, the ultimate shared experience. The act of nourishing our bodies does not need to be a chore, it can fulfil the soul as much as it can fill the body. Having worked in Communications for over a decade, the thing I’ve grown to love the most about the job is being able to make friends for a living. And what meeting point is better than over the dinner table for friends old and new alike? A great dinner party leaves lasting memories, where the dinner table tells a story, from the decoration, to the wines and of course, the culinary adventure that ensues. Dishes are served family style, passing platters from person to person, allowing diners to simply be themselves, relax and settle somewhere that’s not perfect.
Proper nutrition is something I have always been fascinated by, and is something I choose to study in my free time. Each VENN menu is like putting together a puzzle, where each dish is nutritionally balanced, without compromising on the dining experience. Utilising local, seasonal, organic produce, each dish is devised by me to excite the senses whilst nourishing the body.
Forget the small plates because it’s meant to be about connecting over good food, no matter how messy it gets.
